As climate change is becoming a global issue and renewable energy expansion is required to create a sustainable society, installation site limitations for silicon solar cells due to weight and other factors have become an issue. Film-type perovskite solar cells are a next-generation type of solar cell that are lightweight and flexible, enabling installation at various sites, such as building walls, roofs with limited load bearing, or curved surfaces. Film-type perovskite solar cells will be installed at the Morigasaki Water Reclamation Center by spring 2023, the power generation amount will be monitored, and durability against corrosion will be checked, and thus will examine the viability of installing them at sewage facilities.
