- Fi-Block is a thin, flexible, organic flame-retardant material that uses Sekisui Chemical's plastics technology. Differing from existing inorganic flame-retardant materials, it is the first to manifest flame retardant and fire prevention performance by expanding when heated during a fire. Normally, the product is mounted as a thin sheet tape, and is good at being bent and cut. Ideal for effective use even in confined spaces to increase the freedom of flame-retardant designs. Two types are available depending on application: butyl Fi-Block and epoxy Fi-Block.
