- SEKISUI has focused on the fact that glass transmits much sound, and so has developed the sound acoustic interlayer film S-LEC™ Sound Acoustic Film, which greatly increases the noise reduction performance of glass while maintaining the same basic functions as regular interlayer film, using a 3-layer extrusion technology that provides a (core) soundproof layer between the existing (external) interlayer film layers.
- It has excellent vibration suppression and effectively suppresses vibrations generated by the engine as well as cutting out the noise from the glass. Aadding soundproofing functions to the interlayer film can assure a fixed noise reduction without making the laminated glass layer thicker, thus also contributing to making the vehicle more lightweight and energy efficient.
