With regard to Prominence in Human Resources, based on our belief that “employees are precious assets bestowed on us by society,” SEKISUI CHEMICAL is focused on diversity management that drives the creation of healthy and fulfilling work places that enables diverse personnel to play an active role.
The SEKISUI CHEMICAL Group has been engaged in health management initiatives for our employees as the foundation of our diversity management. In both 2017 and 2018, we were recognized as a Health and Productivity Management Organization (“White 500”), but as the social landscape calls for initiatives such as work style reform and the empowerment of women and people of advanced age, we have decided to take our initiative to the next level by summarizing our philosophy regarding our goals for health management in a Declaration of Health, and establishing the Basic Policy for Health and Productivity Management as outlined below.
SEKISUI CHEMICAL Group has been engaged in health management initiatives for our employees based on our belief that “employees are precious assets bestowed on us by society.” SEKISUI CHEMICAL endeavors to take these initiatives to the next level by treating the promotion of the health of our employees as a management strategy that is aimed at achieving the physical, mental, and social well-being of all employees.
SEKISUI CHEMICAL Group’s Basic Policy for Health and Productivity Management
Strive to achieve the well-being of all employees, and create workplaces where a diverse personnel can play an active role with vitality.
●Practice a comprehensive health promotion program that encompasses everything from health management (defense) to improving (offense) the fulfillment and rewards of working.
●Focus on improving productivity by advancing the awareness and behavior of each and every employee.
●Encourage employees to make a proactive and ongoing effort to strive for well-being now and in the future.
●Strive to contribute to society by realizing the happiness of employees and their families, and our customers through the well-being of our employees.

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
Specific Examples of the Initiatives
●Support to individuals
・Enhance health guidance in cooperation with the health insurance association (such as medical checkups and preventive measures for lifestyle-related diseases)
・Enhance consultation centers where employees can feel secure and at ease to seek consultation (mental health measures)
・Engage in an ongoing effort to support health practices through the use of ICT and other tools
●Initiatives as an organization
・Create vibrant workplaces by collaborating with external specialists
・Enhance the system (improve the workplace environment)
・Deploy to Group Companies in and outside of Japan
Through these initiatives, SEKISUI CHEMICAL will advance our existing efforts to promote health by engaging in initiatives to prevent illness (defense), and improve (offense) the fulfillment and rewards of working. SEKISUI CHEMICAL aims to enhance productivity by providing support that encourages employees to proactively think and engage in health practices, and provide support for the well-being of employees not just during employment (now) but also after their retirement (future).
