SEKISUI CHEMICAL Group participated in the Japan Official Side Event jointly planned and held by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Nippon Keidanren at the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP24) held in Catviz, Poland on December 12.
  This event aims to enhance Japan's international presence in climate change countermeasures, but we introduced corporate examples of our efforts to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases through the Global Value Chain (GVC), which can be one of the pillars of future countermeasures, as a representative of Japanese companies, and conducted a panel discussion.

  SEKISUI CHEMICAL Group's long-term vision for the environment in 2030 is based on its commitment to corporate activities using global natural capital. In this context, SEKISUI CHEMICAL Group declares that the environmental impact and contribution of its business activities will be quantified by the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) method and that the return on natural capital will be 100% or more.
In this calculation, the amount of GHG emissions from corporate activities is assessed, and the amount of GHG emissions reductions from Environment-Contributing products is assessed. The results of climate change initiatives are reviewed and used to identify future directions.
