Joint Venture for Vehicle Components Molding Business Established in Indonesia

SEKISUI CHEMICAL CO., LTD. (President: Naofumi Negishi, hereinafter called "Sekisui Chemical") and PT ADYAWINSA DINAMIKA of Indonesia finished establishing a joint venture for vehicle components molding business PT. ADYAWINSA SEKISUI TECHNO MOLDING (hereinafter called "ASTM") on March 18, and started operations on April 1.
On April 4, people from within the industry were invited, and an establishment ceremony was held at the GRAN MELIA JAKARTA hotel in Jakarta.
Economic growth in Indonesia is remarkable, with GDP exceeding $3,000 per citizen in 2010, and there are prospects of motorization accelerating.
In Japan, SEKISUI TECHNO MOLDING CO., LTD., which is a 100% subsidiary of Sekisui Chemical, is strengthening ties with vehicle manufacturers, and is meeting needs through business cooperation from the product planning and design stage, but in Indonesia, the aim is to expand trading with vehicle manufacturers through ASTM, and to establish a base for the injection molding business in the country.
