On October 21st 2018, in difficult weather conditions, the SEKISUI CHEMICAL Female Running Team competed in the qualification heat for the All Japan Corporate Womens Ekiden* Competition 2018 in Fukuoka.
*An Ekiden or long distance relay race is a popular race type in Japan. In this case, 6 runners ran various distances to make up a total 42.2km (full marathon).
Our team came in 4th place and successfully qualified for the final event which will take place in Sendai on November 25th. Congratulations to the 6 runners, their management team and coaches.
We hope for continued support for the important race in Sendai. Please check back here later this month to see how the ladies do on the 25th November.
