The High Performance Plastics Company (President: Keita Kato) of SEKISUI CHEMICAL CO., LTD. (President and Representative Director: Teiji Koge; hereinafter, “SEKISUI CHEMICAL”) has established an Electronics Materials Technology Service Center facility within the premises of SEKISUI CHEMICAL GROUP company, SEKISUI POLYMATECH (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD. (Location: Shanghai, China; hereinafter, “SEKISUI POLYMATECH (SHANGHAI)”). The newly established Electronics Materials Technology Service Center is able to carry out evaluations of SEKISUI CHEMICAL’s main products in the electronics field.
In China, FPD and semiconductor manufacturers and assembled product manufacturers of smartphones, etc. are concentrated mainly in the south-eastern coastal area of the country where Shanghai is located, and it is expected that the companies will actively increase their production capacities in the future.
Establishing this facility in Shanghai for evaluating SEKISUI CHEMICAL’s main products in the electronics field will enable us to respond quickly to requests for evaluation from customers in China and also to advance proposals for a variety of products and technologies in the SEKISUI CHEMICAL GROUP’s electronics field and further expand sales in that field. In addition, SEKISUI CHEMICAL is seeking to develop the car electronics field, the market for which is expanding in the context of the increasing number of EVs, the development of automated driving systems and other factors, through the synergistic effect between the newly established Center and the showroom for automotive electronics components established by SEKISUI POLYMATECH (SHANGHAI).
