Employee Donations and Matching Gift for the Great East Japan Earthquake

The Sekisui Chemical Group started accepting donations from employees both in Japan and other countries to be used to support the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake, which occurred on March 11, and to recover the afflicted region.
As a result, over 35.6 million yen was collected from 18 countries, including Japan.
SEKISUI CHEMICAL CO., LTD. implemented matching gift to donate 36 million yen, which exceeds the sum collected from our employees.
These donations are scheduled to be donated to local governments that were afflicted via national NPOs and the Red Cross.

Further, the Sekisui Chemical Group has donated to date 100 million yen, 10,000 plastic buckets and 10,000 plastic liquid containers as support items, and approximately 2,500 tatami-mat-sized (equivalent to approximately 4,100 square meters) polyolefin foam usable as a rug, as well as 100,000 high performance dust-proof masks, etc.

In addition, we also are supporting to recovery by supplying temporary housing and synthetic resin pipes, etc.

We would like to express our heartfelt sympathies to the people affected by the earthquake and wish and pray for a speedy recovery.
