Member's Biography

Toei joined the Corporate Research Lab at SEKISUI CHEMICAL. after graduating from Kyoto University, Engineering Faculty. He was in charge of R&D on polymer materials such as adhesive, photo-resist, high-strength polymers, and others. From 1991 to 1993, he spent two years as a visiting researcher at UCSB studying polymer alloy. Since 1998, his focus has been on developing plastic foam in the foaming process and understanding the mechanism to realize desired properties. Since 2016, he has been a core member of the CVC team, investing in startups whose technologies can contribute to a sustainable society. The main target areas are water and materials.
