Member's Biography

Sakai joined SEKISUI CHEMICAL in 2004 after graduating from the Department of Chemistry at the Graduate School of Science, Tokyo University of Science. He was involved in intellectual property activities for the High Performance Plastics Company until 2015. From 2016 to 2018, he belonged to a venture capital firm and gained experience in startup investment. After returning to SEKISUI CHEMICAL, he was in charge of CVC investment. To accelerate CVC investment, he manages a strategic area map that serves as a management compass with internal stakeholders. Currently, he is in charge of overall CVC operations and promotes the evaluation of CVC investment projects as a team leader.
