INDIA CHEM 2006 was held in Mumbai, India from November 8 to 10.
INDIA CHEM is the largest international chemical exhibition in India and held every two years; it is sponsored by the Government of India and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). The exhibition is a showcase for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. This year Japan was invited as a guest country to participate and our company displayed as part of the JAPAN exhibit.
This participation in the Indian exhibition was also the first joint effort among the Sekisui Group companies, with sales staff (as presenters) from Sekisui S-LEC Thailand, Sekisui Pilon, Youngbo Chemical and Sekisui Chemical Singapore, gathered together to create a joint display with a strong international flavor.
We displayed a wide range of products from Sekisui Group businesses: Medical, Urban Infrastructure and Environmental Products (SPR), Interlayer Film, Foam and Specialty Chemicals; all with a proven export record. Our products were introduced in the exhibition newsletter which was widely distributed at the venue, helping to publicize our stand. Over the three days of the exhibition we were able to demonstrate our products and exchange information with about 350 companies and organizations and we ended the show on a high note.
India is a rapidly expanding market and we are looking forward to future expansion across the sub-continent.
