Local communities
We aim to proactively communicate with local communities as a company growing alongside them.
Initiatives of the Housing CompanyActivities to improve civic order in regions
Crime is becoming a major social problem, especially burglars that target homes when residents are away, scammers that target the elderly, and criminals that target children. Since fiscal 2009, Sekisui Chemical’s Housing Company has worked with prefectural police departments to prevent crime by leveraging the advantages of its housing business having a nationwide network of sales bases, while aiming to build homes that are hard to break into. We aim to help society by working to prevent crime, such as bank transfer fraud, educating about how to make homes hard to break into, protecting the elderly and children from criminals, and improving transportation safety.
More specifically, we are holding “child-related crime prevention” classes to raise awareness for the prevention of crimes against children. These lessons target for kindergartens and guardians, and we are distributing security buzzers to participants and establishing “Kodomo 110-ban no ie” ("Children's 110-Dial House") facilities at housing exhibition sites as part of this effort. Moreover, in cooperation with police, traffic safety associations, post offices and local businesses, we are creating and distributing educational “Town mail” pamphlets and cards designed to increase traffic safety awareness to further reduce traffic accidents.
