SEKISUI CHEMICAL CO., LTD

Despite putting up a great fight in SENDAI on November 26th, the SEKISUI Fairies could not automatically qualify for next years Corporate Ekiden. While they achieved 11th place, only the top 8 seeded teams can automatically qualify, meaning that our ladies will compete in the qualification race in Fukuoka again next year. Thank you to the 300 people made up of SEKISUI employees, family and friends who supported and cheered for the team in SENDAI.

This run was a special event for 5000m Olympian, Misaki Onishi, who ran the 3.6km leg of the race, as it marked her last run for the SEKISUI Fairies. Thank you to everyone who supported Ms. Onishi throughout her running career with the team. Please continue to support the SEKISUI Fairies who will continue to train hard and do their best from now on.
