Implementation of "Lights-out at Lunchtime Worldwide Campaign"

The "Lights-out at Lunchtime Worldwide Campaign" has been underway in the Sekisui Chemical Group since April 1.
The campaign represents an effort to encourage Sekisui Group companies throughout the world to switch off all power in offices during lunchtimes to achieve energy savings and reduction of CO₂ emissions.

The campaign was conceived based on ideas taken from "Improvements in the Environment for the Future ~ What We Can Do to Protect the Global Environment," proposed by children participating in the Global Children's Eco Summit held in August 2007.

Collaborated activities by employees in Sekisui Chemical Group companies across the globe on environmental-conservation have raised environmental awareness in each and every individual. The photographs below were sent in from regions around the world soon after the campaign kicked off and show scenes of the "All Lights Out."
