Presentation Meeting on the Automotive Materials Related Business of the High Performance Plastics Company

A Presentation Meeting on the Automotive Materials Related Business of the High Performance Plastics Company, intended for institutional investors, analysts, and journalists, was held Wednesday, December 12 in a conference room inside the World Trade Center Building in Hamamatsucho, Tokyo.
This was the second business presentation meeting on the three strategic areas of the High Performance Plastics Company (AT, IT, and MD), following the medical business meeting held in October of last year.
The meeting venue included an exhibition area that featured actual components such as windshields, door trim, and bumpers to enable attendees to have a deeper understanding of the components in which Sekisui products are used. After the presentation meeting, attendees asked a number of questions as they inspected the actual components on display.




1.  Current conditions of and future strategies for the Automotive Materials Related Business

High-expansion foamed molded parts, metal alternative plastic parts

Thermo-expandable microspheres, porous microspheres for DPF, low smell, ultra-low VOC tape

3.  Questions and Answers and product display


Although past IR efforts for the Automotive Materials Related Business have consisted solely of introductions to interlayer film and foam products, this Presentation Meeting was intended to provide investors with a systematic understanding of the following:

(i)  The position of the Automotive Materials Related Business within the High Performance Plastics Company
(ii)  The strategies of each related business unit
(iii)  New products that promise future growth

In the future as well, the IR Group is considering holding more domestic Presentation Meetings on business activities to increase corporate value by deepening investors' understanding of the Sekisui Group's vision for the future, strategies, and prominences.
